Bokonebophirima ready for National Indigenous Games Festival
The division of Sport and Recreation in the North West Department of Education and Sport Development hosted Provincial Indigenous Games on Saturday, 5 August 2017. All participants from the four districts of North West Province embarked on a battle to reclaim the victory by representing their district in the Provincial Indigenous Games. The games played at Brits Sports Complex at Brits Bojanala district.

The North West Education and Sport Development MEC, Sello Lehari kick-started the unique campaign which will take officials out of their offices called Re Bona Ka Matlho on Thursday, 27 July 2017 at Kopela Village.
MAKE EVERY DAY A MANDELA DAY
The Department of Education and Sport Development hosted a Mandela Day celebration at Ithuteng High School, Moretele to spend their 67 minutes. The Acting Mayor of Ward 25 Ms. K.N Mleta, Acting HOD Ms. S.M Semaswe and Member of Parliament Ms. Mlule Maluleka were part of the event.
Nelson Mandela Day celebration and RHR Charter launch
Office of the Premier in collaboration with Provincial Departments hosted Mandela day celebration together with the launching of Reconciliation, Healing and Renewal (RHR) Charter on the 18 to 19 July at Potchefstroom. The purpose of the RHR Charter is to give the province’s citizenry a platform to heal the divisions of the past and create a society based on democratic values, social justice and fundamental human rights.
Kaizer Chiefs big winners for Maize Cup 2017
The Provincial government of Bokonebophirima through the Department of Education and Sport Development hosted a Maize Cup 2017 which started with a gala dinner on the 14 and ended with the tournament on the 15 July at James Motlatsi Stadium in Klerksdorp. The tournament was between the four teams which were Township Rollers, Platinum stars, Free State Stars and Kaizer Chiefs.
