The North West Education and Sport Development MEC, Sello Jonas Lehari will lead a Departmental Investment Lekgotla. The main objective of the Investment Lekgotla is to invite the business community to partner and strategize with the department in the provisioning of quality infrastructure to schools and sport facilities across the province.
About 300 people from across the entire province will be participating in the Investment Lekgotla to discuss strategies of improving services of infrastructure provided to the communities. The department seek to encourage public private partnership with private sector across the province.
The public private partnerships are long-term contracts between the public and private sector. The North West Education and Sport Development MEC, Sello Jonas Lehari is optimistic that the investment Lekgotla will be benefiting the entire province.
“As the department we are trying to be inclusive in our efforts to provide quality services to the communities by harnessing the expertise and experience of the private sector. This Investment Lekgotla provides an opportunity between public and private sector to deliberate on improving services to the community. President of the Republic of South Africa, Honourable Jacob Zuma once said, “Education is a societal matter”. I am confident that the outcomes of the lekgotla will benefit the communities of Bokone Bophirima.
The Investment Lekgotla is scheduled as follows:
